Thank you to my Phi Mu Loves!

Well, September and October proved to be some of my roughest months. I was pretty much sick with the migraine for the entire month of September, and then the month of October was spent full of anxiety upon taking one MRI, it coming back abnormal, and then the fear of the results of the second MRI. Although it appears the worst is behind me, I have to say that I think this episode has forever changed my life. Now that I know that I am in the 3% of people who have had a "status migraine", I am working to change my lifestyle slowly to avoid any major migraine triggers for the future. This includes cutting certain foods out of my diet, watching my sleep patterns, and taking my topamax. I am also still worried about the fact that there was any fluid build up in my brain to begin with. That is something that I guess will just have to be monitored with my neurologist at my future follow-ups. Do it Anyway!

I came across this today and just had to share! It just fit perfectly into some things going on in my life and I found it so inspirational. It is said that it was written on the wall in one of Mother Teresa's homes... "People are often unreasonable, irrational, and celf-centered. Forgive them anyway. The thought of saying that I was now "30" sounded awful, but how bad could it really be? I have to say that, so far, I am feeling really good about it! (The opposite of how I was assuming I'd feel) The weekend of turning 30 started out with one of the happiest moments I can remember. My Mom, Kristi, Pam, and I hosted a baby shower for Nancy. At the end of the shower, Nancy presented me with an "I love my Godmother" frame. Inside, was an extremely special note from her and Scott asking me to serve as Godmother to one of the twins; Thomas John! My eyes immediately got teary! This was such a special moment and I am so honored. Growing up, Scott was like a big brother to me and such a big part of my life. I can't wait to take a big part in his son's life! That same night, Jay and I hosted an 80's Themed party to celebrate my 30th at our ...
